ELSA ist eine internationale, unabhängige, nicht-politische, gemeinnützige Organisation, die von und für Studenten und Absolventen betrieben wird, die neben dem universitären Jurastudium an der Erreichung akademischer und persönlicher Exzellenz interessiert sind.

ELSA möchte seinen Mitgliedern eine Plattform bieten, um ihre vorhandenen Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln und neue zu erwerben, um mit Kommilitonen und erfahrenen Praktikern aus verschiedener Ländern und Rechtssystemen in Europa zu interagieren und um auf ein Berufsleben im internationalen Umfeld vorzubereiten, durch gegenseitiges Verständnis, interkulturelle Zusammenarbeit und die vielfältigen Aktivitäten und Projekte, die der Verein anbietet.
